Speeds of the new e-motorbikes are not much higher than our e-bicycles--so we welcome other neighborhood vehicles less likely to cause damage if an accident were to occur...another that does not spew fumes alongside as we're cruising along.
These e-motorbikes have no pedals to contribute to your physical well being, to add to your battery range, or to help you get home if you run out of battery power. They are heavier to move upstairs, harder to mount on car racks, generally not allowed on mass transit, and usually require licensing and registration.
Despite these shortcomings, Electroportal is hoping to offer these soon as an option for those who would otherwise drive a gas burning car or motorcycle.
